SENIOR G&E EXECUTIVE

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY AS A SENIOR G&E EXECUTIVE LOOK LIKE?

As a Senior G&E Executive, you are responsible for the organization and coordination of groups and events for Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade & Leonardo Hotel Den Haag Babylon. From the first inquiry until the final evaluation, you make sure every detail is taken care of.

You manage a broad range of meetings, conferences, dinners, group bookings, and special events. With your experience and commercial mindset, you know how to translate clients' wishes into successful events while identifying opportunities to maximize revenue. You work closely with operational departments and are a trusted point of contact for both clients and colleagues.

As a senior member of the team, you take ownership of more complex requests and events, support your colleagues when needed, and contribute to continuously improving our commercial approach and way of working.

A FEW RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing groups, meetings, and events from the initial inquiry through to execution and follow-up.

• Maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to requests, converting inquiries into confirmed business, and identifying upselling opportunities.

• Using your commercial insight to strategically manage pricing, availability, and event planning in line with the hotels' revenue objectives.

• Taking ownership of larger and more complex groups and events and ensuring all agreements and details are communicated accurately.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, event planners, and other business partners.

• Ensuring contracts, deposits, cancellations, and invoicing are handled accurately and according to agreed procedures.

• Coordinating menus, packages, room requirements, and additional services while balancing the client's wishes with the commercial opportunities for the hotels.

• Working closely with operational departments to ensure a smooth handover and successful execution of each event.

• Supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues within the G&E team and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and commercial performance.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade is located in the heart of international The Hague, right next to the green Van Stolkpark. The hotel lies between The Hague city center and Scheveningen beach. Guests can relax in our Promenade Healthclub & Spa or enjoy delicious international dishes at LEO’S International Flavors.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade has 178 rooms and features a classic yet modern design, reflected throughout the hotel’s atmosphere. The hotel also offers 10 meeting rooms, making it the perfect choice for both business and leisure guests.

Leonardo Hotel Den Haag Babylon has been an icon at The Hague Central Station since 1978 and is part of Leonardo Hotels. Centrally located, with a fantastic view and all the famous attractions within easy reach, the hotel has 143 rooms and several special meeting rooms. On the first floor of the hotel you will find our bar and restaurant "The Livingroom", where we create a real feeling of home for our guests.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR TEAM

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience within Groups & Events, Meeting & Events, or a similar hospitality environment.

• Bachelor-level working and thinking capability (HBO), preferably combined with a hospitality-related education such as Hotel Management or Facility Management.

• Experience with both corporate and social events and confidence in managing larger or more complex bookings.

• Experience with Opera Sales & Catering is strongly preferred.

• Strong command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

• A strong commercial mindset and the ability to recognize opportunities to increase conversion and revenue.

• You are organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.

• Professional, service-oriented, and a true team player who enjoys sharing knowledge with colleagues.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to connect easily with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Strong numerical insight and the ability to think strategically while keeping an eye on the details.

• You remain calm and solution-oriented when plans change, because in events, they sometimes do!

To be considered for this role, applicants must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
