How do I search for a job?
On the Job offers page, type one or more words: only jobs containing each of them are shown, synonyms included (“accountant” also finds “comptable”). Then narrow down by region, country, work mode, language, source, publication date or closing date.
Do I need an account to see the jobs?
No. The list of jobs and the job pages are open to everyone. An account lets you save jobs, track your applications, manage your CVs and receive alerts.
Which countries are the jobs in?
The site covers the 54 countries of Africa and also lists jobs open to the African diaspora. The number of jobs varies widely from one country to another, depending on the sources available.
Where do the jobs come from?
Job offers are collected from the websites of employers and organisations and from job portals. Each job page names its source and links to the original ad, where you apply.
Why do some jobs show almost no details?
Some websites do not allow the text of their ads to be reused. We then show only the essentials (job title, employer, location, dates) and a link to the original ad, where you will find the details and can apply.
Why has a job disappeared?
A job leaves the list when its closing date has passed, when its original site no longer publishes it or, if it has no closing date, when it has not been seen there for 30 days.

I forgot my password
On the login page, choose “Forgot your password?”: a link is sent to you by email. Never share your password, neither here nor on WhatsApp: nobody will ask you for it.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
In My account, under “Two-factor authentication”: scan the code with an authenticator app and keep your backup codes safe.
Who can see my CVs, letters and notes?
Only you. Neither recruiters nor the site's administrators have access to them. To get a copy of your data, write to contact@touramakhan.com.
How do I delete my account?
In My account, under “Leaving the site”: you can deactivate your account or close it for good (your CVs, letters and follow-ups are then deleted).

How do I save a job?
On a job page, choose “Save this job” to keep it, or “Remove from saved jobs” to remove it. The “Apply” button on the Job offers page takes you straight to My applications. The assistant can analyse a job for free from Saved jobs.
How do I apply for a job?
On the Job offers page or on a job page, choose “Apply”: the job goes to My applications, under “To send”. Choose your CV, add your cover letter, then send from your own email (if the job gives the recruiter's address) or on the recruiter's website. Then choose “I have sent my application” to follow up on the reply.
Does the site send my application for me?
No. Emploi Touramakhan sends nothing to the recruiter: the message leaves from your own email, or you submit your application on the recruiter's website. Remember to attach your CV and cover letter yourself.

How do I add or edit my CV?
In My CVs (from My applications or My account), add up to 3 CVs from a PDF or Word file, or from a blank page. Edit them for free in the editor, or download them as Word, correct them on your computer and upload the corrected version.
How do I get my CV corrected?
In My CVs: automatic correction (1 token, CV reformatted). Correcting it yourself in the editor or in Word is free. The assistant never adds any experience or degree.
How do I get a cover letter?
In My applications, at the “Cover letter” step: upload your own, write it in the editor, or have the assistant write it. It first checks the job's criteria against your CV for free, then writes the letter once (0.5 token); you can then edit it freely.

What are tokens?
Tokens pay for the assistant's services: cover letter 0.5 token, automatic CV correction 1 token. a token bonus is offered when you sign up (see My tokens); everything you do yourself stays free. A token is refunded if the service fails.

How do I create an email alert?
Search on the Job offers page, then save the search and choose a daily or weekly alert. Each email contains a link to unsubscribe.

A job is fake or no longer exists
At the bottom of the job page, choose “Report a problem with this offer”: an administrator checks it and hides it if necessary. Never pay to apply for a job.
Do I have to pay to apply?
No. Emploi Touramakhan never asks for money to apply, and neither do serious recruiters. Tokens only pay for the assistant's services (letter, CV correction), never for an application.
A recruiter is asking me for fees: is that normal?
No: it is a sign of a scam. A recruiter who asks for money for a visa, training, an application file, a medical check or to “reserve” a position before hiring is trying to defraud you. Pay nothing, send neither ID documents nor bank details, and report the job.
How do I report a job?
On the job page, use “Report a problem with this offer” and choose “Suspected scam” if that is the case. An administrator checks it and removes it if necessary.
Does the site contact me on WhatsApp?
We will never contact you first on WhatsApp. If a WhatsApp adviser is offered on the Support page, you are the one who writes first. A message claiming to be Emploi Touramakhan that asks you for money, a password or a code is a scam attempt: do not reply.
