Exodus is inviting applications from motivated and results-driven individuals for the position of IT Support Engineer.

Position: IT Support Engineer

Role Overview

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure the efficient operation of computer systems, networks, software, and hardware.

The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, installing and configuring IT equipment, supporting end users, implementing security measures, and ensuring the availability and reliability of IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-user support for all hardware and software approved by the client and made available to end users.

• Perform Installation, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal (IMACD) activities.

• Carry out remote software installations.

• Perform physical software installations at end-user workstations.

• Provide mobile device support.

• Install, update, and support security software and manage group memberships.

• Attend to ad hoc and extraordinary technical tasks when required to support the IT environment without affecting normal service operations.

• Provide first-line maintenance of the Data Room.

• Conduct daily backup checks.

• Perform preventive maintenance, including performance checks and cleaning, on computers, printers, servers, routers, switches, patch panels, tape autoloaders, UPS systems, and IPBX equipment.

• Prepare monthly reports and provide supporting data to facilitate effective and efficient service management.

• Conduct quarterly meetings with the client to recommend improvements and provide progress updates on previously agreed commitments.

• Ensure professional communication and engagement with end users through physical presence or other appropriate communication channels.

• Adhere to the client’s prescribed dress code, ensuring it is appropriate for the circumstances and working environment.

• Strive to achieve first-call resolution while ensuring that unresolved issues remain under the ownership of the client’s IT team until final resolution.

• Provide support for all major service-impacting failures and incidents whenever reasonably required by the client.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Previous experience working in a startup environment is highly preferred.
