Description

MTN Cameroon is looking for a Coordinator Data Centre HostServers.

The role coordinates the day-to-day and 24/7 operational readiness of data centre rooms, racks and hosted physical infrastructure. It covers environmental resilience, preventive maintenance, incident response, capacity planning, asset lifecycle management, governance, security, audit readiness, vendor coordination, service performance and continuous improvement.

The Coordinator maintains operational records and reports, supports infrastructure refresh and modernisation initiatives, supervises third-party interventions, tracks KPIs and SLAs, and contributes to risk mitigation, projects, budgets and compliance. The role also supports staff development, knowledge transfer, health and safety, and collaboration across internal teams and hosted-service stakeholders.

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Data centre operations certifications (CDCP, Cisco DCTECH) are preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in data centre operations or IT infrastructure support.
- Functional knowledge of data centre operations and DCIM, server hardware (Dell, HP, IBM), power and cooling systems, physical security and asset management.
- Skills: operational coordination, attention to detail, asset management, problem-solving and teamwork.
- Behavioural qualities: analytical thinking, customer-centric mindset, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, ethical conduct and integrity.
