Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the restaurant’s daily accounting and financial records.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and daily sales reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and management accounts.
- Monitor food costs, labour costs, inventory costs, and other operating expenses.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax compliance, and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitor stock usage and identify discrepancies, wastage, or unusual variances.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and support internal controls and audit processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality establishment.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Ability to monitor food costs, labour costs, inventory, and other operating expenses.
- Knowledge of Ghana’s tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
